Landruk is a Gurung village spread across terraces on the east side of the Modi Khola, and La Bee Lodge sits at its edge at roughly 1,640 m. From here the whole slope of Ghandruk is visible on the opposite side of the gorge, and on clear mornings Annapurna South and Hiunchuli fill the head of the valley. The lodge is reached on foot: it is about five hours from Dhampus over the Bhichok Deurali ridge, or four hours from Ghandruk down to the river and back up.
The lodge is small, with private bathrooms and hot water, and meals cooked on site. It suits travellers who want the village atmosphere of the foothills without the shared washrooms of a teahouse. We place it on the third night of our Annapurna luxury lodge trek, between Ker & Downey's Basanta Lodge in Dhampus and Himalaya Lodge in Ghandruk. As with all mountain lodges, opening dates and availability vary by season, so we confirm directly with the operator when you book.

Questions travellers ask
How do you get to La Bee Lodge in Landruk?
On foot. The usual approach is from Dhampus, about 30 minutes' drive from Pokhara plus a 2–3 hour walk, then a 5-hour stage via Pothana, Bhichok Deurali at 2,100 m and Tolka down to Landruk. From Ghandruk it is about 4 hours, dropping to the Modi Khola bridge and climbing back up. Porters carry the bags on both routes.
Is Landruk on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?
It can be. Some Annapurna Base Camp itineraries start at Kande or Phedi, pass through Landruk and then join the main trail at New Bridge and Jhinu Danda before climbing to Chhomrong. It adds a day compared with driving to Siwai, but the walk is quieter and passes through more villages. Most lodge guests at La Bee are on shorter foothill treks rather than heading to base camp.
What is the weather like at Landruk?
At about 1,600 m Landruk is mild for most of the year. October to November brings clear days around 18–22 °C and cool nights near 8 °C. December and January nights can drop close to freezing, though days are often sunny. March and April are warm with hazier views, and June to September is the monsoon, with daily rain and leeches on the forest trails.
