Langtang in November

November gives some of the clearest air of the year, with fewer trekkers than October. The Langtang Valley is excellent, though Kyanjin Gompa drops well below freezing at night. Gosaikunda starts to freeze over by late November, and an early snowfall can make Laurebina La icy, so carry microspikes on the traverse. The Tamang Heritage Trail and Helambu are at their best, with harvested fields and long sunny days.

Kyanjin Gompa −8 to 9 °C, Helambu 1 to 14 °C, dry, cold nights. Conditions change fast with altitude, so check the mountain forecast a few days before you travel.
