Hotel Barahi is in the heart of Lakeside, a short walk from the Barahi ghat where boats leave for Tal Barahi temple, and close to restaurants, shops and the paragliding and rafting offices. Rooms are arranged in several wings around a garden and an outdoor swimming pool, a real advantage in Pokhara's warm afternoons and a big draw for families with children. Lakeside's lakeshore promenade is only a few minutes away.

Rooms are air-conditioned with cable TV and private bathrooms, in a range of categories from standard to deluxe, some with partial lake or mountain views. The hotel has a restaurant serving Nepali, Indian and continental food, a wellness spa offering Ayurvedic treatments, and evening performances of Nepali cultural dances in the garden on many nights. It is a practical, friendly base for a three- or four-night stay that keeps everything within walking distance.
