Namche is where most Everest treks spend two nights to acclimatise, so a good room here makes a real difference. Yeti Mountain Home's Namche lodge sits on the eastern side of the horseshoe-shaped town, a little away from the busiest lanes, with views across the Dudh Koshi gorge to Thamserku (6,623 m) and Kongde Ri. Rooms have attached bathrooms with hot showers, electric blankets and solid insulation, and the dining room has a sealed stove for warmth.
From the lodge, the acclimatisation hike to Syangboche, Hotel Everest View and Khumjung starts up the hill behind town, and the Sherpa Culture Museum, bakeries and shops are a short walk away. The lodge is used on our Everest luxury lodge trek and can be added to other itineraries on request. Beyond Namche the chain continues west to Thame and Kongde, but on the main Everest Base Camp trail, standard teahouses take over above here.

Questions travellers ask
Is Yeti Mountain Home Namche worth the extra cost?
For many travellers, yes. You spend two nights in Namche acclimatising, and a warm room with an attached bathroom, hot water and electric blankets helps you rest well. It suits couples, older trekkers and anyone wanting more comfort.
Can I book Yeti Mountain Home on a standard EBC trek?
Yes, we can upgrade the Lukla, Phakding and Namche nights to Yeti Mountain Home on request, subject to availability. Above Namche on the EBC route, accommodation returns to standard teahouses, with Everest Summit Lodge at Pangboche as a comfortable option.
How far is Yeti Mountain Home Namche from the centre?
It is on the eastern side of town, a few minutes' walk from the main lanes, shops and bakeries. The walk up to the museum and Syangboche starts nearby. Expect stone steps everywhere in Namche.
