Kasara Resort was built in 2022 on the edge of community forest in Patihani, Bharatpur, close to the Chitwan National Park headquarters and the gharial breeding centre at Kasara. Its design uses courtyards, earthy materials and gardens to sit low among the trees, and spotted deer and birds are often seen from the restaurant. Villas range from deluxe doubles to large family villas with private pools of around 130 m².
The resort has a full-service spa, an outdoor pool, gardens and a restaurant. It organises jeep safaris, canoe trips and guided walks into the park from the nearby Kasara and Patihani gates, which are quieter than Sauraha. Activities booked directly through the resort are priced at the top of the local range, so we include them in our package price. It suits couples and families who want privacy and a contemporary, design-led stay.

Does Kasara Resort have private pool villas?
Yes. Its family villas have private pools, around 130 m² in size, which is unusual in Chitwan. Deluxe villas without private pools share the main outdoor pool. Private-pool villas sell out early in October, November and the Indian winter holidays.
